About Us

The Development Services Department consists of five functional divisions and the Permit Center, all located at 2621 Northgate Lane with the public entrance at Suite 6. The divisions include the Planning Division, managed by Lee Plemel, AICP, Planning Director; the Building and Code Enforcement Divisions, managed by Kevin Gattis, Chief Building Official; the Development Engineering Division, managed by Jeff Sharp, PE, City Engineer; and the Permit Center/Business License Division, managed by Lena Tripp. The Permit Center provides the hub for processing applications and permits and is the point of contact for all processes and Development Services staff.

Permit Center Activities: Application and permit processing; one-stop permit; general information regarding the City's permitting process, public counter service.

Business License Division Activities: Issuance of business licenses, liquor licenses and special event permits.
