Passes / Where to Purchase

Please have the exact change available, as drivers cannot make change. Transfers are free and must be requested when you get on the bus and pay your cash fare. Children ages 4 and under ride free.

Passes

Bus passes are more convenient than cash and offer discounted fares. Monthly passes are valid for unlimited rides within the calendar month for which the bus pass is issued. A 10-ride punch pass can be used any time and is valid until all 10 rides are used. The bus driver will punch the pass every time you board, so you will know how many rides you have left.

Senior Bus Passes

Starting October 1, 2008, JAC will be offering unlimited free rides on JAC's regular fixed route system for seniors participating in the Senior Citizen Bus Pass Program.  Seniors can participate in this program by registering with JAC at the Carson City Senior Citizens' Center at 901 Beverly Drive Carson City, Nevada during normal business hours.  To register, seniors need to be aged 60, or older, and fill out an application form.  After an application form is filled out, present the completed application to the Senior Center representative at the Senior Center finance office to receive your free Senior Citizen Bus Pass.  Passes are valid for unlimited rides on the regular fixed-route service until September 30, 2009.  At that time if the program is picked up for 2010, you will be able to re-new your application at the Carson City Senior Citizens' Center.
